I just spent two hours cutting up training treats for class tonight, my agility lesson tomorrow and for the clicker training seminar I am attending on Friday. This made me think about adding a recipe page to my web site of homemade training treats that are easy to make and economical to boot.

This is what I plan to bring to the training seminar with me:

1) Baby Goldfish (not real goldfish - silly, the kind you feed your kids.)

2) Blackened Turkey Hot dogs

3) Grilled Hamburger cubes

4) Cheerios

5) Cheese cubes

6) Toasted coconut cubes (I found these at Fairway and Zoe and Whisper seemed to enjoy them.)

7) Turkey meatballs cut into small pieces.

If Whisper eats all that I pack, she is going to come home the size of a meatball. It's one of the drawbacks of having a small dog.

Please send me (dawnprentiss@semperfidony.com) your favorite dog training recipe and I'll be sure to add it to my web page. Happy Training!

LOL, that's funny...Whisper the size of a meatball. When I took my first class with Gizmo I kept treating him slices of hot dogs. He's 3.4lbs and I had two sliced hot dogs with me. Towards the end of the class he was literally stuffed and soon took a potty break...I learned my lesson :)

Dawn,
Can you put your microwave turkey hot dog treat recipe on the website? Mimi's been 'talking' about it all week! See you on Saturday....Mina
