Our vet, Hope Vet, suggested that we contact Dawn when we expressed our growing concern about the behavior of our 9-month old Yorkie, Maggie Mae. Although she was a great
dog most of the time—bright, easy to train, and extremely affectionate—on leash, she was displaying increasingly aggressive behavior toward other dogs and some humans (lunging
and growling). Off leash, she was reactive to anyone ringing the bell, knocking on the door, or entering our apartment. Her energy would go from 0 to 10 in seconds—and before we
could stop it—she was out of control. Without professional intervention, we were afraid that Maggie’s fearful/aggressive behavior could escalate and another dog or person might get
hurt.
Dawn worked miracles on Maggie. She quickly accessed the situation and helped my husband and I understand what we needed to do to help Maggie become a more relaxed dog.
Dawn gave us positive, clear, and methodical work to do that changed Maggie’s attitude about stressful situations. Dawn was patient and encouraging and always took the time to
see the good in Maggie—not just the undesirable behavior that we were trying to change. The icing on the cake was the very clear and concise homework instructions that she
emailed to us after each session so we knew exactly what we needed to accomplish before our next encounter.
We tried many things before we met Dawn, but Maggie’s stress wasn’t reducing and her behavior wasn’t improving. Dawn helped Maggie become a better, happier dog. I would
recommend her to anyone.
